Diamonds are forever...they take forever to make...but I love the end result! And as you can see so does my Gaby.
I have to make 4 small squares to make 1 diamond... sewing each together.
It's time consuming but if you follow the same pattern for each. it all lines up beautifully.
With all the color options out there...you truly can come up with something gorgeous. I really don't have a color scheme...I'm just trying to get rid of my stash so I can fill it up again (you stashers know what I mean).
Hope you like it...I do. It measures 63" x 63" so far. I have to try to figure out how to convert my square into a rectangle...so I can use it as a bedspread...but we'll see what i come up with.
Hope you guys have a great weekend.
Have Fun & Be Happy making...anything,

63" X 63" so far
20" X 20"
I have been working on this for a while...I love projects like this because I can freestyle and take my time with them. I did make a pillow for a king with a crown full of jewels and everything...it was also very fun and very dear to my heart.
I'm alternating solid squares and "diamond" squares. The diamond blocks are the most time consuming but in front of the tv...i knock them out without too much effort.
These squares are 9" X 9". And there really is no pattern or color chart that I'm following for it...I'm just busting my stash and having fun.
By now this project measures 63" X 63". It's growing and I think it's a keeper...because I usually make projects like this and give them away.
Well, I hope you guys are having a wonderful week. It's hump day...but we will make it!
I'll keep you posted and updated.

I've heard about this book for so many years and how I HAD TO READ IT!
I finally got my hands on a copy and I am loving it so far. A MUST READ!
Today it's very cold and I have a little free time to do WHATEVER I WANT...so I figure I get started on my new read.
Hope you guys try this one. And if you did already...well...grab any book and a cup of tea or joe and have a few minutes of you time.
We all need it and deserve it!
Have a great day guys. Stay Warm or Cool (depends where you are in the world).

Today we have snow and more snowwwww. Here on the East Coast we just keep getting slammed with snow storms. I love it (sometimes). But it's just too much. I am so looking forward to Spring!!!
I will take the time to work on one of my many WIPs projects. Another blanket for all this cold weather.
A sneak peek for you here:
Hope everyone is safe, warm and cozy. I know the weather is not great for some but we have to make the best of it!
Have a great day guys,

Minnie Mouse...that's all I have to say.
Anything baby is so cute...and fun.
I made these for a client and she loved them. These here are for a 2 year old but adjusting the base of the shoes you can pretty much do any size.
I really enjoyed making these. I just love cute, tiny pink things. And did you check out the ears...so cute.
It only takes a little imagination and you can do anything.
Hope your week is going great guys. Mine is going pretty well. I'm continuously working on projects (will share with you of course). And trying to stay warm.
We got a little more snow this morning...I am really losing count on the snow falls...it's too much for me.
Stay Warm & Smile,

Muesli - My new super food
Muesli (pronounced muse-lee) is a breakfast cereal that has been popular in Europe — especially Switzerland — for over 100 years. But I, in my new journey of good food, exercise and "weight-loss," only discovered it about a week ago. And it is the most wonderful thing I ever had. I love oatmeal for breakfast...but this is a MAGNIFICENT thing because it combines oats, dried fruit, nuts...and whatever you want to add to it.
My store bought mix finished...but I decided I would make my own. I already had oats so I got a dried fruit medley in bulk (containing almonds, banana chips, pineapple, papaya, mangoes, cranberries and raisins). But you can get your favorite mix.
So here's how I did it:
First, I had 6 Cups of oats (you can use whichever you have, steel cut oats or regular. I used a mix of the 2:
Then, I added 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of melted butter to the oats and mixed well:
Then, I toasted them in a 350 degrees oven for 15-20 minutes (I know they are raw in muesli...but I think toasted will be better for me):
While that's toasting; I sorted out the pineapples (way too sweet for me), mangoes (also too sweet) and raisin/cranberry mix (more than I needed. I'll just save them for another project):
While the oats are cooling off, I started chopping the medley...1/2 cup of each. I like them as fine as I can get it...but you can leave it as chunky as you like:
Finally, mix everything together. I added some bran flakes and some flax seeds:
Store in an airtight jar or bowl (whatever you have) and enjoy for breakfast, or a snack!
I hope you guys try this. It really is fun and healthy.
Here's to a Healthy, Fun, Prosperous & just plain WONDERFUL 2014,
